Wanted to share my Christmas bear tree and a few new (and old) Starbucks bears. The bear with the fur hat and the puppy with the green scarf are new for the 2011 holiday season at Starbucks. All of the other bears pictured here are from past seasons. Hopefully someday I’ll get around to posting them all properly. Until then, here they are! Happy Holidays! Click images to enlarge.
This is the Valentine Girl that was sold in Asia in 2011. She is the 98th edition in the Bearista series. She is very similar to the North America Valentine Girl, except that she has a reddish-pink muffler on her hand and she has a different hat with more reddish-pink fuzzy fabric. She’s also wearing the pink Valentine sweater that is on the North America Valentine girl, and the skirt is similar with a brown background and light pink hearts. Super cute as always! These three bears came out at the same time. The black sheep and the white sheep are 31st in the series and Bo-Peep Bearista is the 30th edition in the series. All of the bearistas are from Spring 2004. The sheep bearistas have super super fuzzy fur and have little bells around their necks so Bo-Peep can keep track of them! Bo Peep is wearing a blue gingham dress with white eyelet underclothes and she has a staff for the sheep and is wearing a straw hat with blue ribbons and a yellow flower. Bo Peep is also quite fluffy, but not as fluffy as the sheep of course! A very cute collection from 2004! Click to enlarge.
You know Spring has arrived when the baby chicks start popping out! Well, here we have the 2003 Yellow Chick Bearista that is the 25th Edition in the series. This bear has the older style fuzzy fur and an orange nose with orange chick feet and an orange beak in the chick hood on his head! The chick suit is yellow with a cute tuft of yellow fur on the very top of his head. He also has a metal tag on his left foot with the year indicated. A great bear! Click to enlarge.
You wouldn’t believe how soft this Bearista is! He is wearing a bunny suit and the ears are stripey and colorful to match his rainbow ribbon. He has a pink nose and a year patch on his left foot. This is the 75th Edition of the Bearista Bears from Spring 2008. I know they have done a lot of rabbits for Easter and stuff, but I think they are still adorable! Click the photo to enlarge.
This is the 10th edition of the Bearista series from 1999! This little bear is starting to take on the look of the later bearistas, but he still has a unique early look. The bearista is dressed up as a little lamb and his suit is very fuzzy! His pink bow matches his inner ears and tail. He doesn’t have any markings on his feet, but his tag indicates the year and the number in the series. He is just adorable and fun to love! Click to enlarge.
This is one of the oldest Bearistas that I own! Although it doesn’t say the year on the tag, according to BearistaTales.com, this bunny Bearista is from 1998 and is the third Bearista in the series! He is a really different style of bear than the recent bears. He has slightly shaggy fur and is a bit thinner and taller than most of the bearistas. His apron says “Starbucks Bearista Bunny.” Very adorable with his floppy ears! Click the photo to enlarge.
This Bearista is ready to go and dressed up in a bunny suit with pink paws, a pink belly, a pink nose and pink ears! He has on a multi-colored pastel ribbon and is adorned with the Starbucks year coin on the bottom of his left foot. This is the 26th edition of the Bearista series. His ear tag also has a poem that says “I’m a cuddly, fuzzy bunny who loves to play when it’s sunny. I’ll bring fun your way if you’ll take me home to stay!” They used to put poems on all of the tags, but, unfortunately, they quit doing that. This bunny bear has super soft fur that is sort of like a chenille fabric. You can’t see it in the pic, but he also has a fuzzy white tail! Super! Click to enlarge.
This Bearista is sooooo beautiful! She is the Japanese Kimono Bearista Girl and she is the 100th in the Bearista series. She is only sold in Asia, so check out eBay if you want one of these beautiful bears (if you are outside Asia)! She’s got on cotton underclothes with eyelet trim and a purple, pink and green kimono with aqua accents. In the back is a nice big, lovely bow! She also has a flower on her ear and one on the front of the kimono. She has eyelashes for that extra-girly flare! She is so lovely and it is nice to see a Japanese-inspired bear too! Click the images to enlarge.
Another adorable Valentine’s Day Bearista this year! She is the 102nd Edition in the Bearista series. She is holding a letter in her hand and it says “True Love,” “To: the one I love” and “From: a secret admirer.” I have included a close up of the letter so you can see it better. Her outfit this year is brown, pink and red. She is wearing brown slipper shoes that match her brown skirt that has pink hearts on it. Her shirt is red and the sweater is pink with red hearts on the edge. She’s also got a pink and brown bow and super-cute eyelashes!
Here is a pic of the 2011 Year of the Rabbit Bearista without me in the pic! He is the 99th edition in the Bearista Series and as far as I know he is only sold in Asia. I ordered mine from an eBay seller out of Asia. He’s got the 2011 banner flag and very beautiful designs. He has a patch on his left foot that indicates the year and that he is a Starbucks bear. The bunny hood does pull down and off his head if you want to change up his look a little bit. I just love these Chinese New Year bears! They are great!!!
This is a picture of me posing with my new Year of the Rabbit Chinese New Year Bearista! I’ll probably post a pic later of just the bear. He’s super cute and his outfit is really beautiful. He’s even carrying a banner. Happy Chinese New Year!
Here I have the whole Gingerbread Bearista family! There is the boy Gingerbear (78th edition of the Bearista series) and the girl Gingerbear (79th edition of the Bearista series) and they are together with the small magnet boy and girl bearistas. The boys have red buttons and green ties with the gingerbread suit and the girls have orange ribbons with green buttons and the girl gingerbread suits. As you probably know, gingerbread is a traditional holiday treat and these bears are certainly a treat as well! I am fairly certain that the Gingerbread series only came out in Asia. I got my bears from eBay. I am not 100% certain about that though. At any rate, they are charming and beautiful! Click the photos to enlarge.
We have this thing on our fireplace that I got from Pottery Barn. So many people have this wall accessory that it is kind of embarrassing, but I still like it anyway. It is fun to change up the decorations for it during the different seasons. So, I decided my winter/holiday Bearista magnets would make perfect decorations for this! I put some red yarn in the bottom of the glasses with the bears. In the other glasses I put tissue Christmas paper, little balls of yarn and some gold ornament balls that we had. Then I made some little poofy yarn things to add to a few of the holders. I wanted to keep it kind of random. It looks pretty cute in person. It might be kind of hard to tell how cute it is from the photos. I am including one close up, so you can see the detail better. Click the photos to enlarge.
Well, I think this is probably the final update for the Bearista tree. I found some more bears to put on and I found some little red ornaments and I added ribbon and put them on the tree too! I’m pretty sure I won’t be adding anything more. I think the little red ornaments look pretty good though. I’m glad I went to the trouble of adding them. I’m not too sure they are very visible in the small photo though. Click the photo to enlarge.
Last year Starbucks really outdid themselves with this cute couple. Here are the plaid Santa boy and girl Bearistas. The boy is the 86th edition and the girl is the 87th edition of the Bearista series. The boy has plaid pants, a red santa coat, a big santa buckle belt and santa hat while the girl is dressed up in a satin red dress with a plaid santa coat and a red cap with a poinsetta flower attached. They both have the Bearista patch on their feet and their coats are almost military-esque with a hint of gold. The girl has eyelashes and rosy cheeks too! Click the photos to enlarge.
We decided to add some snowflakes, a tree skirt and the angel to the top of the Bearista Christmas tree. I think it looks just great! Yay! Click the photo to enlarge. It looks better bigger!
This is the 38th edition of the Bearista series—a big, beautiful, fluffy Christmas bear wearing a dark, velvet red and white santa hat with holly and a dark, velvet red and white scarf with holly. This bear’s fur is really soft and cuddly, and he has a super cute face too! I wish the internet had feel-a-vision, because this bear is just so nice and soft to touch! Click the image to enlarge.
2003 was a great year for Rudolph! Starbucks came out with the Rudolph small bearista and also a larger one. He has a nice red nose, a red scarf, and of course antlers. He has a Rudolph patch on his foot and on his other foot is the Starbucks Bearista year indicator medal. This is the 28th edition in the Bearista series. He also has a fluffy reindeer tail in the back and fluffy reindeer ears. Click the photos to enlarge.
