Here is the 2008 Beijing Destination Series Bearista. She is the 40th edition in the Starbucks Bearista series. She is waving a Beijing flag that is in English on the back, and (I’m assuming) Chinese on the front. She has rosy cheeks and is wearing a light blue polo shirt and khaki skirt with white under garments. Her red Beijing sweatshirt is tied around her waist and she has a red cap as well. She also has some fabulous eyelashes! Click the photos to enlarge.

November 18, 20102010 Winter Bearista and Mouse
November 17, 2010Well, I just bought the 2010 Winter Bearista and the mouse that goes with it. I also got the mouse tumbler and mouse mug. They are all really cute. The bear is reading a book that says “The Mouse Writer.” He has a winter outfit complete with green, white and red snowflake sweater, a red stocking cap, red pants and brown fuzzy boots! The mouse’s name is Huxley and he is a mouse writer apparently. He is wearing a red scarf with brown vest and he has a pink nose and off-white fur. The mouse mug says “One day a squirrel went out looking for acorns and found a friend.” It has a picture of the mouse and squirrel and a little sculpture of the mouse on the top of the handle. The tumbler is a smaller size and it says “Hello, I’m Huxley.” Huxley is on the tumbler along with a Christmas tree and stuff in a room. Click on the photos to enlarge them!
Some Past Bearista Xmas Magnets
November 13, 2010Another Discontinuation?
December 9, 2008
Well, it has been a bit disappointing this holiday season on the Bearista front. As far as I can tell, there aren’t any bears being sold anywhere in the United States stores. I am eagerly awaiting my bears that I bought on eBay, but those bears seem to have been only released in Asia. They are the gingerbread bears. The last Bearistas that I know of which were available in the US were the destination Bearistas with the blue caps and grey messenger bags.
Instead of Bearistas this holiday, Starbucks has released some cute reindeer and a little bird. Okay, they are cute and everything, but we want the bears! I know that Read the rest of this entry »
Way Behind!
October 7, 2008OMG! Obviously I am WAYYYY behind in taking care of my bear blogs and websites. I really apologize. I sort of got distracted and have been working on other things. Thank you for stopping by if you do! It may be awhile before I get back to bearista blogging. I sort of need to clean my room in a major way first!!! Still loving the bears! Just got the pumpkin bear for Halloween! Hugs to all of my bear friends!
Quick Hello
May 11, 2008Hi to anyone (the few, the proud) who stops by. I wanted to let you know that I’ve been slacking off lately and on vacation, but I’m hoping to get some more work done on the blog and collection sites in the next few weeks! Also, I got a wonderful Bearista calendar from one of my online friends. I’m going to take some photos for you then post a link where you can get one yourself! The calendar is very cute, has great photos and will go along great with your own bear collection. PLUS!!! You’ll be supporting a fellow Bearista fan in her own Bearista addiction! haha. I hope you all will consider buying a calendar from my sweet friend! Okay, all for now. I’ll be back soon with more information and pics! Bearista Hugs to you all!!!
How Many Bears?
April 12, 2008The question will come to all of us collectors eventually: how many bears is too many bears? How long are we going to go on collecting? You know, your shelves fill up and then you box some of your bears up, because there is just no room. It started with the bearista bears, but then you start collecting random Starbucks things. A cup here and there maybe other plushies, bearista magnets, oh and then you see some cute sticker books. Where will it end? For me, well, I’m not quite sure. Part of me trimming down my collection meant that I wasn’t going to buy all of the baseball bears and all of the city bears with the same outfits. Then I wasn’t going to buy any Asia bears, but that went down the drain when I saw how adorable the Bearista Butterfly bears were! OMG, they are so adorable! Honestly, when I go into a Starbucks and I see new bears I get really happy and I am compelled to take them home! What is one more bear afterall? One bear has led to so many bears! I have to admit that I love having the collection. The bears are so cute and I love to look at all of them. I just need another HOUSE for all of them! haha. So, when will I stop collecting Bearista Bears? I have no idea. I guess one day I will just stop. It will be a sad day for sure. How do YOU know when to stop collecting??? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for stopping by!

Keeping the Bearistas Coming!
April 1, 2008Okay, well I just talked to someone at Starbucks Customer Relations and this person told me that they are “definitely NOT” discontinuing the Bearista Bears in the United States, so all of you collectors out there don’t need to fret. It seems Starbucks will still be churning out the bears for some time to come! Yay! Bring on the bears!
Bearista of the Week #1: Year Of The Dog 2006
March 25, 2008
I thought it might be fun to share some random photos of bears, so for today, the Bearista of the week is the Year of the Dog Bearista. This Bearista was only available in Asia and celebrates the Asian New Year. In Asia each Read the rest of this entry »
