Hi! It has been a long time since I’ve posted! A new bearista friend, April, has inspired me to post again. So, for my first post in a long time I’m posting the Butterfly Bearistas. They are the 73rd (boy) and 74th (girl) editions of the Bearistas and they are from 2008. I believe they were only released in Asia. They have cute butterfly wings and yellow bellies with yellow antennae.
This is the Valentine Girl that was sold in Asia in 2011. She is the 98th edition in the Bearista series. She is very similar to the North America Valentine Girl, except that she has a reddish-pink muffler on her hand and she has a different hat with more reddish-pink fuzzy fabric. She’s also wearing the pink Valentine sweater that is on the North America Valentine girl, and the skirt is similar with a brown background and light pink hearts. Super cute as always! This Bearista is sooooo beautiful! She is the Japanese Kimono Bearista Girl and she is the 100th in the Bearista series. She is only sold in Asia, so check out eBay if you want one of these beautiful bears (if you are outside Asia)! She’s got on cotton underclothes with eyelet trim and a purple, pink and green kimono with aqua accents. In the back is a nice big, lovely bow! She also has a flower on her ear and one on the front of the kimono. She has eyelashes for that extra-girly flare! She is so lovely and it is nice to see a Japanese-inspired bear too! Here is a pic of the 2011 Year of the Rabbit Bearista without me in the pic! 🙂 He is the 99th edition in the Bearista Series and as far as I know he is only sold in Asia. I ordered mine from an eBay seller out of Asia. He’s got the 2011 banner flag and very beautiful designs. He has a patch on his left foot that indicates the year and that he is a Starbucks bear. The bunny hood does pull down and off his head if you want to change up his look a little bit. I just love these Chinese New Year bears! They are great!!!
Here I have the whole Gingerbread Bearista family! There is the boy Gingerbear (78th edition of the Bearista series) and the girl Gingerbear (79th edition of the Bearista series) and they are together with the small magnet boy and girl bearistas. The boys have red buttons and green ties with the gingerbread suit and the girls have orange ribbons with green buttons and the girl gingerbread suits. As you probably know, gingerbread is a traditional holiday treat and these bears are certainly a treat as well! I am fairly certain that the Gingerbread series only came out in Asia. I got my bears from eBay. I am not 100% certain about that though. At any rate, they are charming and beautiful! Click the photos to enlarge. 🙂
Here is the 2008 Beijing Destination Series Bearista. She is the 40th edition in the Starbucks Bearista series. She is waving a Beijing flag that is in English on the back, and (I’m assuming) Chinese on the front. She has rosy cheeks and is wearing a light blue polo shirt and khaki skirt with white under garments. Her red Beijing sweatshirt is tied around her waist and she has a red cap as well. She also has some fabulous eyelashes! Click the photos to enlarge. 🙂
Well, it has been a bit disappointing this holiday season on the Bearista front. As far as I can tell, there aren’t any bears being sold anywhere in the United States stores. I am eagerly awaiting my bears that I bought on eBay, but those bears seem to have been only released in Asia. They are the gingerbread bears. The last Bearistas that I know of which were available in the US were the destination Bearistas with the blue caps and grey messenger bags.
Instead of Bearistas this holiday, Starbucks has released some cute reindeer and a little bird. Okay, they are cute and everything, but we want the bears! I know that Continue reading “Another Discontinuation?”
Well, for the second Bearista of the Week I decided to continue with the Asia bearista theme. Here we have another Asian new year bear. He is dressed up as a pig to celebrate the Year of the Pig in 2007. The pig nose can be Continue reading “BOTW#2: Year of the Pig Bearista 2007”
I thought it might be fun to share some random photos of bears, so for today, the Bearista of the week is the Year of the Dog Bearista. This Bearista was only available in Asia and celebrates the Asian New Year. In Asia each Continue reading “Bearista of the Week #1: Year Of The Dog 2006”
